Arial View of Farm

Pictures of the Farm

Our little 1200sqft home (it feels a bit smaller than that). When we first moved in the trees were hiding the house, and we decided to embrace what the house is. Kevin cut down and pulled out the trees and bushes, and we tried to add a little charm with raised planters. It was fairly affordable solution, and Kevin constructed them to enhance the curb appeal, until we can figure out what is next for this little home. We also added a fenced in yard and some grass in the area that was a bluestone parking lot.

So many amazing views around Phlox Blue Moon Farm

Horses:

What is almost every horse owners dream…to wake up with them in your backyard. We get to do just that!!!

We came to Phlox Blue Moon Farm with three horses, Guinness, Reisa, and Gigi. Shortly after realized we needed two safe horses to hack around and we added James to the mix. Guinness and James are the oldest ones on the farm, then Reisa, and Gigi.

The most amazing but quirky boy-Guinness AKA Guinny-Guinea Pig-G-Pig

Lucky James when we first got him (newer pic to come)
Back when Reisa could still be turned out on grass with Gigi. Think this was one of their first days out together and I put leg protection on them both

Puppies

Obi is a large sweet yellow lab that was Kevin’s pup prior to us getting together. He loves everyone and everything, and enjoys having the farm to relax on in his golden years.

Elvis essentially owns Phlox Blue Moon Farm! He was here prior to us buying the farm, and we agreed to let him stay here and enjoy the place he knows so well. He warms up slowly to new doggie friends, and then is all in. Aside from enjoying the sights on the farm, he is especially fond of his love seat in the living room!

Wicket is the oldest but newest addition to the pack, he has been in Kevin’s family since he was a puppy and he is extremely loyal to him. He acclimated pretty quickly to farm life, and suspect if he had joined us earlier in his life he would have been a fantastic mouser.

Kittens

No farm is complete without a few mousers in the mix. Our mousers have big names to live up to! Persephone, Tussy (Hephaestus), and Artemus know their jobs and work well as a team. Persephone is the most outgoing and loves meeting new people, where as Artemus is a bit more shy. Tussy is the most aloof and prefers to be the one to introduce himself.

Chickens

We started off with 11 chickens, and we gave a few away, a couple passed away, and now we have 3.
